Beginning in 2009, GBCI will oversee LEED certification under license from USGBC. GBCI will accredit certification bodies (CBs) and assessors; the CBs will certify buildings.
Major Cities Require Private Buildings to Go Green
Both Los Angeles and Dallas passed legislation in April 2008 requiring privately owned buildings to meet green building standards.
